Yes, this is Canadian currency. And i got it with the lens, battery, charger and everything for that price. It's normally 1399 + 15% tax in store, but i got it at that price in a pawn shop. (And yes, it's confirmed not to be stolen.)
The owner kinda is a friend. I've been a customer everywhere he worked and i helped him with computers a few times, so he dropped the price for me.
The lens that came with it is the regular Canon EFS 18-55mm. Would you have a suggestion for something else i should get?
Well, I'm not familiar with Canon lenses, and I don't know what you intend to be taking photos of, so I don't know what equipment to recommend. If you have an idea of what sort of situations you intend to be taking photos in, perhaps I can help.
