Oct. 8th, 2007 10:17 amWheeee... Fun day at work. Finally. And i'm hyper now.
It started very boring, nothing to do at all but to take care of small screws and all those things nobody normally ever wants to touch.
But it turns out that they decided to teach me how to drive the big propane powered forklifts. And turns out that i somehow seem to know more about them than the guy who was supposed to teach me. So whee!
It was actually rather funny at certain points. He told me to do stuff because he knew i'd make mistakes, so he could point them out to me and tell me why it wouldn't work. But i apparently managed to avoid every single of them. And i've also managed to perfectly align pallets on the beams, even more than what they did with the reach lifts, which is apparently rather impressive.
So i'm probably going to end up with the job of forklift driver even more. Especially since i'm also more comfortable driving the huge one we have, which has a lifting capacity of 11000lbs, than the smaller 3000lbs ones. Usually, people struggle with that one, but can drive the smaller without much trouble.
And now i'm all bouncy and hyper because of that. *swishes his tail happily*
It's kinda funny how often the first time i drive something, people think i've done it before.
