Oct. 6th, 2007 08:32 amIt's kinda funny, i've been trying to watch some stuff on TV recently, and i just can't stand it...
It's just too slow! They don't get to the point. I'm sitting there, and i keep trying to find how to skip ahead to the part where they actually say the thing and not just talk about what they're going to say.
And why are there so many shows that talk about shows that talk about shows! It's getting ridiculous, i think. Why do during the news, they talk about what happened on another show earlier, which was a show where they talked about what happened in this week/day/etc 's edition of everyone's "favorite" reality shows or series.
I really think it'll be a while before i consider getting my own TV again.
... and on another topic.
I'm really starting to wonder if i'll keep trying to go to all these conventions. It's fun, but well, there's always something that seems to go not as well as i'd have wished, and it costs quite a bit. I'm really wondering if i wouldn't be better just going to a few particular ones, then instead just doing a trip to visit a friend with the "extended weekend" setup every month.
It's usually cheaper, and well, when i'm not competing for attention with dozens of other people, and on a fixed schedule, it's usually easier to have fun, and a lot less stressful.
I'm still going to go to MFF an FC for sure this year, and if i can manage it, FurFright... Still needing a plan for that last one.
By the way, Drako, i need to hear from you!
It's just next year... Not quite sure how i'll go. I'm seriously starting to think about buying some land now, and this would limit the amount of money i can randomly spend on trips and such.
