Aug. 24th, 2006 09:22 amToday, i discovered how sharp melamine can be. Ouch...
Not only did it slice the tip of my index open, but it also cut thru two pairs of worker glove. It's just insane, there should be some kind of warning on that stuff or something. And now my hands are all bloody, it looks like if i had clawed someone to death.
Been working in the construction materials departement since the beginning of the week. It has been rather cool, actually. Lots of work, but it's not weak stuff, so just lots of energy spent without having to be so carefull not to spill or break decorations and blah. A 1in PVC sewer pipe is a lot less likely to break than a box of terra cotta flower pots.
I also had for the first time to use a lot of things i never had to before, which is kinda cool. And i'm apparently surprising everyone by being able to drive the picker in small corners. I'm really starting to wonder how i'd do with a forklift.
Other than that, today was really fun. Some people came visit from Nova Sotia. Most of them furs. Didn't do much, just talked and went for food at Chez Gérard, but they're very cool people. I kinda feel bad about going insane talking about tech-junk again with one of them and not paying so much attention to the one i actually met online before in that group. But meh, another time... They're supposed to stop by on the way back anyway, and possibly go to La Ronde.
Anyway, now, sleep.
