Aug. 4th, 2007 01:01 amIt's always funny to see how people underestimate how heavy and strong lifts are.
People see the NARs and think that they're just small things that can't weight much... While in reality, one of them weights 7510lbs, to be able to carry a 4500lbs load with the forks extended 3ft foward.
Yet, people refuse to believe that, and still ask us to climb into the back of smal pickups or cube trucks, which often can't even take half of that.
Luckily, the dayshift manager for the departement has a picture of a flatbed towing with the front end in the air, after the driver thought he could just pull the lift on the edge of the platform and slide it back on.
People seem to get that one.
