Jun. 25th, 2007 06:39 amWhee, long weekends are fun.
I finally had time to do a lot of stuff i've been wanting to do for a while. And the best part is, the next weekend should be even longer. *grins*
First, the van situation took a turn for the better. It turns out that the people at Chertsey found my keys in the sand, so they were able to get the van repaired without me having to be there. So now i simply need to find time to go there, then i can just pay and drive home. Total cost of 240$, which is not so bad... More than i'd have wanted, but meh.
Second, i got the ceiling in the motorhome finally all removed. Found a few unpleasant surprises, but i'm mostly happy with this. The roof doesn't seem to leak as much as it seemed to, and is in better condition than i thought. So i won't really need to fix anything there particularely. I'll remove the skylight/dome thing as planned the thing leaks anyway... But other than that, it's all in good condition.
I might have to replace a few support beams that were cut with new ones, or at least patch them. Which shouldn't be too hard. Just a few metal bars.
Also finished removing a few other things, cleaned up the metal that the old guy had glued carpet on. Makes a nice change. Might also result in less annoying bits of glue and other things bouncing around the vehicle.
I need to finally get myself ready for AC. It's so close. Aaah! In my head, it's still weeks away...
Oh, and pictures. *grins*
I don't quite feel like sorting them out, so...
Motorhome part 1
Motorhome part 2
As the name says, motorhome stuff.
Yep, i'm really spending all my time on it...
I'm also seriously annoying myself with the lack of simple, drawable idea for comissions that wouldn't require a serie of pics or something complex.
