Dec. 23rd, 2006 09:26 amWhee...
Icy rain of doom, and my ride to work deciding at the last second not to give me a ride because there's icy rain. Which is why i asked for a ride in the first place.
And obviously busses were late or just not running, and taxis overloaded. So i went to work on bike anyway. Fell down quite a few time, didn't bring my lunch, got there completely soaked, but just on time. Whee...
Everyone else but two were late.
Work was bleh. I'm really starting to hate Mr. Ninja guy. Starting to feel the need to throw heavy things in his direction. Today, once again, he had to put pallets on each side of the order picker i was using, making me go to the other end of the store to get a pallet truck to just move it so i can move. And he keeps trying to get ahead of me when driving, resulting in me almost running over him repeatedly, and him bitching about how i should always let him pass because he has things to do. Like if i didn't have things to do too.
Today, he decided that he'd "help" with plumbing. But his "helping" apparently involved putting his motorized pallet truck thing in a way that would block one end of the alley with the pallets we just received, working at the other end, and yelling at us each time we told him to either move or tried to move this pallet truck. We had 12 pallets to do, me and the other took 1h to do 10 of them, he took 3h to do the other two.
And those two he did were ones i had set aside because they have to be done with the order picker. He did them with the mobile stairs. Which is why it took so long. And he also decided to remove everything from the boxes and put them in storage like that, even if we told him not to. So this means that now, there's no box with the UPC written on them, so we have to guess what model number each thing is.
Grawr... Good thing it was plumbing and not my departement he did that in.
At least i had fun later moving water heaters. Kinda was in the mood to punch and throw things, those things are heavy enough that i spent my anger on them. Kinda made my boss laugh too, the regular guy always struggles and kinda makes them wobble to move them, i just picked them up.
Also got to climb in the racks to do that. Which was fun. Not supposed to, but meh, the boss didn't complain.
I think i'm really going to be happy once i can get a departement all to myself with nobody else to bother me.
