Oct. 16th, 2006 01:41 pmWhee... So it turns out that MFF sent a postcard-thing to me, to confirm my registration.
Obviously my mother found it first, so the first thing when i go up "Why does it say FurFest?" and afer that, "What's a furry?"
That kinda caught me off guard... And it's definitively not the same explaining that to a parent compared to explaining that to a random stranger at a convention who wonder "What's that thing? Why are there people with tails?"
But well, considering she had no idea what furries were, she didn't have any negative or positive preconceptions, so it wasn't complicated. I just really wasn't expecting to have to explain that when going upstairs to get something, half-awake after getting out of bed.
