Whee... I get home, get on the computer, and find a post i wrote yesterday, but actually forgot to send... So here it is.

Yesterday:

Halogen lights are awesome. They can are both a light, a heater, a hair dryer, and a way to keep foodstuff warm.

Ok, work. It was insane, and cool. Today was the day where we finally removed the air conditioners from the central alley. And well, we kinda means just me there. And a 11000BTU unit is rather heavy. As in 150-175lbs heavy. And 32 of those to put on 4 pallets means a lot of heavy lifting, and tired arms. Add to that about 50 smaller 6800btu units, and various others that were left... The funny part is, with the weight and humidity and all, the heaviest units ended up sticking to the metal beams they're on. One was so stuck that by trying to shake it loose, i managed to make the whole 20ft structure holding the shelves wobble. Which is kinda bad, considering how those are supposed to have up to 2 tons pallets put on them without moving.

So yeah, the first three hours kinda made me do quite a bit of exercise.

And it didn't get easier after that. Once the air conditioners were gone, it was time to put the antifreeze where they used to be. And it wasn't just a bit. 7 pallets of 39 boxes with 4 1 gallon bottles in each. So yeah, not just a few. They weren't even nearly as heavy as the air conditioners, but well, after moving over a few hundred bottles from pallets to shelves and blah, and that just after the air conditioner, the bottles were kinda starting to feel heavy.

I also discovered that as with every single place in the store, the trash compactor, cardboard compactor and toilets are registered in the system as locations, where items can be localised. I found that out because a second type of antifreeze, when scanned, was located at 52F02, which is the cardboard compactor. They meant 25F02, but that was still a really funny mistake. Especially since nobody knew it was the compactor. So we were about 5 searching for what row 52 is, until we found it in the unloading area.

So now i can have fun adding that or 52D01 (trash compactor) or 62D01 (locker room) or 62F01 (toilets) or 62G01 (cafeteria) as locations for certain items.

Oh, and something funny. I push around large boxes, then once they're in the right position, i find a new blade for my knife and 58c... I couldn't help but think of some RPG games.

... and that was the point where i most likely fell asleep on the keyboard without ever getting to post it, and forgot about it later.

And for today...

First, with yesterday's stuff, i was kinda still not very awake when it was time to wake up. And i kinda stayed with not too much energy all day.

Someone from MonFur came and bought one of my old 17in CRTs. Which is good. It was a very good monitor, but i want LCDs, not stupid space-eating CRTs. And getting 50$ is a GOOD thing.

And work was less insane. Just some construction materials, then plumbing stuff. Having the new blade and a new pair of gloves made things a bit nicer. And for some reason lots of people were missing today. No idea why...

I ended up having to do a few rather unusual things. At some point, we decided to clean the cardboard compactor. To do this, i ended up climbing on a pallet, which got raised to the level of the whole hydraulic cylinder and stuff, and i had to remove oil-soaked cardboard that piled up on the metal plate that actually compresses the cardboard. Was kinda scary, that thing could have crushed me easily. But well, it was disabled, and things usually don't fall up.

I also took advantage of a bit of free time to look around for stuff that could make a good responsive robotic tail. Sadly, nothing really matched what i wanted.

... and that's all i can think of right now. I should sleep soon...
