And the last day of work.

Kinda fun... I ended up working in the garden. It's kinda fun, it's cut off the rest of the store, very quiet and obviously filled with plants. I've been restocking fertilizer and herbicide/poisons/killing stuff. Kinda nice to see how many have been pulled off the market. Especially the glue and other "slow death" mouse/rat/etc traps.

I've also set up one mousetrap myself, one of the catch and relase type under one of the columns. Just out of curiosity, to see if i could catch one of the five million mouse that run around the store.

Other than that, not much goes on. Nothing new came in, so it's just filling the holes made by what sold yesterday. Which is barely anything...

I find it funny how people absolutely have to open garbage bags box. Even when i leave them one open, they have to open a few more each day. Blah. And they can't understand that the garbage cans we sell are NOT meant to be used in store. Every day, there are soda cans, coffee cups and candy wrappers in them.

And one brand of garbage bags has a huge "Special promotion, get a box for free" sticker. The "free box" is the box the bags come in... Not a second box of bags for free or anything. I found that kinda silly...

Working in there is really starting to make me want to get one of those ultrasound fogger thingies. They're fun to play with, and the smaller ones are kinda cheap. I could probably do some cool stuff with them. Maybe a halloween thing?

I'm also seriously starting to wonder about how possible a solar/electric powered motorhome. I know i wouldn't get a huge range with that, or insane performances. All i'd want is a range of about 120 miles per charge, and to be able to get to 60mph. With something like a small-ish 21ft Toyota pickup based RV i think it seems like something that should be doable. I'll have to do more research...

That would indeed be awesome if it could work. That would mean very cheap travel.

And nobody said a definitive yes for any of the places for my room at Anthrocon.

And it's done!!! Whee...

I'm currently eating Mozza burgers at A&W. I'm starting to really like that morning stop. I wonder why i hadn't noticed this place earlier.

*imagines himself in dragonform at the drivethru window holding a bunch of burgers with his tail swishing happily*

I also managed to prove at work that if i do dangerous stuff i'm fine, but if i do safe stuff i'll get hurt.

I was getting weedeaters from the middle space. The boxes are obviously rather long ones, which makes it hard to carry more than one at once. So i got one of the new guys to come over, i climbed up onto the middle level, and just dropped the boxes from there into his hand. Then he'd tell me which model is missing next.

That went very well. I was just jumping from shelf to shelf to get the stuff. Got a job that would have otherwise taken forever by running up and down the stairs in about 15min.

At the end of that, another of the guys, who is kinda the responsible right now, tells me that i shouldn't jump from there down or climb around. So he brings the mobile stairs, and tells me to get down that way.

What happens? I slice my thumb open on a paint chip that was sticking out the rail on the side of the stairs. If i had jumped down as i usually do, this would have never happened.

Also, on a similar topic, when going down from the cafeteria, which is upstairs, i usually just hang on the two rails on each side, and kinda hold myself back as i slide down the stairs that way.

Today i ate pita bread with butter. And kinda got some on my hands...

Guess how fast i went down those stairs?

... it was awesome. *grins*

It caught me completely off guard, but i managed to stay stable while sliding on the ramps, my feet off the ground.

Anyway, i'm done eating now and the A&W is filling up. Better go and get online at home instead.

... and eventually sleep.
