(no subject)

And another day.

Woke up this morning... Just in time so it could still be called morning. First time on my schedule. Meet with Argaron, another dragon in Kingwood, just noth-east of Houston.

I have to get there by public transformation transportation . First thing i notice? The website for the houston public transf..portation is down. So blah. Spent a while trying to get a google cache of what i need, then just gave up and took the first bus i saw going toward where i might want to go.

This turned out to work quite well. Got to the light rail without trouble, then got to downtown. Searched around for a bit, then i finally found the bus i had to take to get where i had to.

Then met with Argaron, got food, went to a LAN party-type place for a free half hour, then returned.

And i pretty much passed out on the bed when i came back. Don't know why, had a good rest the previous night.

And now i woke up, decided i was hungry.

The hotel room i have now, has a kitchen. When i got to houston, SilverScaleNaga came to pick me up at the station, drove me to foodplace, and drove me to the grocery store to buy food. (Thanks again for that, by the way.) So now, i had no reason to go out for fast food again, since i had a kitchen and stuff to cook.

So i decided to try one of the simplest thing. Spaghetti with tomato sauce and cheese.

For the people who don't know, my cooking skills are... more on the destructive side. I should have taken the flaming toaster this morning as warning.

The actual spaghetti turned out to be rather easy to cook, except for the part where it wouldn't fit in the thing with the boiling water. I'm used to seeing people put them half way in, half way out, and as they start cooking they fall in. Mine kinda, bent along the edge of the thingie, the uncooked part of the spaghetti dropping outside and touching the stove's heating element, the cooked part staying in. So that kinda failed. I fixed that by holding it above the boiling water, and forcing it in as it got softer, which worked, but steam cooked my hands.

Next, the actual disaster. The tomato sauce.

I don't have much ... cooking tools? ... to use. So i wasn't sure. Do i microwave the whole container, or only what i need. If only what i need, what do i use?

Turned out, i decided to use a plate. Thought it would spread out, so cook better. Yeah, it started getting warm fast. But splattered all over the microwave. So that failed.

Next try, in a cup. That went well, until it started popping loudly and throwing sauce out. So i decided to try adding the plate on top of the cup. Which almost worked. But i guess, at some point, pressure built up, then threw off a tomato sauce covered plate off.

Then i decided to just try the cup alone again, since it was getting pretty warm.

It went fine for about 20 seconds, then i heard a loud bang. No idea how that happened, but the tomato sauce actually shot out of the cup, hit the top of the microwave, and splattered all inside it.

This cup used to be half full with Kroger home style tomato and mushroom sauce. I didn't think of taking a picture of inside the microwave, or the other stuff until after i was done cleaning. I was kinda panicked too...

At least, at this point it was warm enough to be eaten. The pre-shredded cheese turned out not to be evil at all, which is very appreciated. Thank you, pre-shredded cheese.

This is is the final result. It has now been eaten, which i hope wasn't a bad idea. If i explode, this is why, and not the lack of tacos.

And other than that, contacts led to me having someone in florida who can give me a place to stay, and free access to Disney. Wheeee...

I feel random right now. I think i'm going to start laughing for no reason.
