Sep. 19th, 2005 01:08 amAnd because i've been tagged by Maenir... *growls* ... it's annoying, i tend to talk about anything, so i can't figure out what i haven't talked to people about already. So it's hard to come up with interesting stuff to write there, or stuff that i haven't told everyone already.
20 random things about myself.
1- I'm apparently 1/4 native american. I don't have much more information than that.
2- In english, my name is the same as my zodiac sign.
3- I'm sometime able to look in two different directions at the same time with my eyes.
4- Even with all the stupid stuff i do, i never had stitches, or broke anything other than my wrist once. (Stupid gloves...)
5- If the temperature is right, i can fall asleep absolutely anywhere, no matter how much noise, people or sharp pointy things there are.
6- When really annoyed, i tend to start building weapons, often without even noticing.
7- I've been wearing the same color of clothes since i was 5.
8- When i was really young, i could tell the brand, model and year of every car on the street.
9- One summer, while i was younger, i decided to stop using doors. So i went in and out for a few months only by windows.
10- If i sleep with my head toward the west, i will fall asleep quickly, have lots of dream, and wake up tired. If i fall asleep with my head toward the east, i will get a good night of sleep, won't wake up for hours, and will not dream at all.
11- Pretty much every soft drink will make me sick. And i mean really sick.
12- When i was younger, sometime i would say loudly a random word in the middle of the night without ever waking up.
13- The less likely it is that someone will hear me, the more random i get.
14- The more insane something is, the less afraid i'll be to do it. But there's still a limit to that.
15- I get very easily addicted to games. Sometime even to games i don't really like.
16- No matter what pen/pencil/marker i use, i seem to manage to get some on my hands. Even if i try to be carefull.
17- In elemetary school, i was absent minded enough to not notice class was over, and quiet enough to be forgotten there.
18- I had absolutely no interest in dragons until i found out i might be one.
19- I'm apparently very scary to some people. I still don't entirely get why.
20- I almost never go anywhere without some tools. This has proven to be really usefull many times.
And after much procrastination, this is done. Wheee, no horrible spikity death for me!
And i get to tag people. Let's see...
dragoncreature
saborcat
xyie
sukuriant
merlethrider
Whee... I wonder which of them will actually notice they have been tagged.
And now, other stuff.
I spent a good part of the week helping with construction and moving stuff in the house. My mom decided that for the winter, the garrage had to be converted into an other room, and that the old oil tank for the heating had to be removed. So she hired someone to do that. I had to help a bit, but i wasn't supposed to do most of the job.
But it turns out that they weren't strong enough to take the oil tank outside. They got it stuck in the stairs, in front of my room, and it started leaking oil. So i had to come back from work, then take it out of the house and clean up the mess, then go back to work. The strong oil odor only went away today, when we got to leave every window open with a fan to push the air out.
And by the way, this is the oil tank i had to push out and drag to the street pretty much alone... *grins* I feel proud of this.
There also has been a lot of transfering junk from the room in the basement where the heating system was and the ex-garage.
And the other thing. I finally took the theorical driving course this weekend with Tecnic. And now it's all done. I took the intensive one, so it was two days with over 6h of course each. Deadly. At least i managed not to fall asleep during these.
Now, Monday i have to take an appointement for the S.A.A.Q. test. Apparently, there's almost a 2 month delay... Bleh. Very bleh. Why is governemental stuff that slow. I just hope i get everything right the first time.
Other than that, not too much. A few seriously frustrating experiences with religions... It's stupid, they always say they're there to help the people in need. But so often they seem more to be going for the people who are weakend and more suggestive, and help in the way that profits them. It's not helping to try to make people believe things when they're not in a state where they can think right...
Bleh. Very bleh.
I've also been trying again to get some informations out of schools. Still nothing. But on the internet acces side, i got something. Questzones actually called back, and replied to my mails. So they get major bonus points for not putting me thru the same menus/pre-recorded message/answering machines/call transfers hell as many other places, and actually giving me straight answers to what i asked, and offering decent prices.
So far i could get a 1.5x1.5mbps SDSL for 200$. It's about 50-75$ over what i expected, but it's a possiblity. Or i could just take a regular ADSL with a 800kbps upstream, then upgrade once i got enough customers or something like that. If they can run the ADSL over a dry line, it could be much sooner than expected...
And that's all i can think of right now.
