Whee... Maybe now i should finally write something about the weekend and the meet.

But yeah, it's too late, and now i forgot. *grins*

Not really.

I'm still kinda dead-ish from that. Not too much anymore, but yesterday i could barely stand up. But at least, it's the kind of tired/dead-ish i can be proud of.

But seriously, so far it's the first time i didn't feel somewhat out of place or lost at a Monfur meet. Which is awesome.

The fact that it was outdoor and involved a lot of running helped a lot with that. No "dead from overheat Pyx", and no need to try to avoid going hyper and get random.

And also, for the first time, i was there early. *grins* Which is kinda funny... And i discovered that it's faster to get there by bike than by metro/bus.

The game was fun. It was some form of "capture the flag" on a soccer field, with player classes (warrior/cleric/thief/magic user) and various foam weapons. It sounds kinda stupid written like that, but it's a lot different when you play.

It's kinda funny too, i was sure that i would be either a warrior or a theif/assasin. I had no intention of trying to be a cleric, but after a few rounds i ended up being one, because nobody else wanted the shorter weapon and the "two hits and you die" thing.

So i tried it, and ended up loving it. It's kinda funny. The cleric class is the one that can heal people, and shouldn't really be an offensive class. But i obviously didn't care about that. Instead, i just ran for any member of the opposite team that was close enough and dived at them with my weapon. Which turned out to work very well for me.

One of the rule in the game is that hits only counts if you touch the other person's legs with the weapon. So just jumping/diving at them worked well, since i got to hit their legs while leaving mine out of reach. And it also compensated for the shorter weapon length.

Of course, it had the disadvantage of constantly falling down in the grass/dirt/mud and being down for a few seconds after that each time, but i can work with that.

I kept that tactic pretty much the whole day, which ended up with everyone else calling me "Battle cleric", which i kinda liked for some reason. *grins*

And for the first time, i wasn't automatically the last pick in a game. Hehehe...

I almost wish it had rained that day, i was constantly overheating, and it would have made the ground softer. I completely destroyed my clothes there by throwing myself to the ground... But surprisingly, i didn't get hurt.

Except for once where i got stuck in the eye by one of the "magic" thingie that magic users threw. That thing was stupid. It bounced right off my eyeball...

Seriously, i need to do that more often. It would keep me in shape. Or kill me, but i doubt it.

It ended a bit past 6pm, which was late enough... I was still ready to run and play, but i didn't have much left in me. I think if we hadn't stopped there, i wouldn't have made it home without falling apart along the way.

Once it was over, some people went... elsewhere, and the rest went to some restaurant for someone's birthday. I didn't really know the person it was the birthday of, but i needed food and a ride, so that worked. It's a good thing i had spare clothes when i went there... I don't think they would have liked how i was covered in mud.

The restaurant was expensive, but they had really good hamburgers. I probably should have tried something else, but i didn't really know what the stuff on the menu really was. So i stayed safe.

Apparently, it surprised people that i could eat two of their oversized hamburgers and still be hungry... Good thing they never saw me with a lasagna.

After that, Hellbender gave me and a few others a ride to the Henri-bourassa metro station. I was supposed to have someone come and pick me up, but it turns out that someone didn't hang up the phone at home, so i couldn't call... *growls* So i came back by bus.

Once i got back, i went almost directly to bed and fell asleep. Then woke up the next day still out of energy, unable to move, and making unexpected crunchy noises...

But today i'm good. Still a bit crunchy, and some movements still hurt, but whatever.

And it was all worth it. *grins*

I find it kinda funny that once again, some parts of the action are completely missing from my mind. A lot of parts just kinda jump from "start of the game" to "just fell after throwing the flag and being killed" or "walking back to spawnpoint after being killed", with everything between missing. Really not the first time my memory does that too, but meh...

I feel that maybe i should apologise to some people, because i know i didn't feel most hits at all, so i often just kept going when i shouldn't have. And i might have hit some people harder than i should have with the foam thingie...

Anyway, i think i should go to bed now.

And i need to remember to finish resizing and sorting the photos.
